NPCs

Technically, since I play them, they're not really non-player characters. However, they show up only rarely, for special events. But as some of them are quite enjoyable characters, I've decided they need their own little section here.

Khymrych Folk and Their Friends
Kristo d'Nache - Loria's oldest brother, an adventurer of the "bronky fighter" type, more muscle than mind. He cares a deeply for his family (even including his waspish older sister Bess), and frequently drags his small adventuring group home with him for visits. He takes great delight in being overprotective of his younger siblings - especially concerning his sisters' suitors. He likes to growl and bluster, but very few people are ever fooled.
Raven d'Nache - Kristo's wife, a half-elven ranger. She's very close-mouthed about her past, and admits no family other than the forest. Actually, she's pretty quiet most of the time, period. When she does say something, it's a good idea to pay attention.
Lotho Butternut - Kristo's best friend, a halfling thief. He's usually talkative and cheerful, eternally hungry like most halflings. He teases his friends - especially Kris - mercilessly, but actually admires Kris enormously for his unswerving devotion to his family.
Carther Finnegan ("Finn") - Raven's best friend, a mage from the Moonshaes. He nearly matches Lotho for his eternal hunger, and treats Raven like his favorite sister. He's fairly cheerful most of the time, though capable of almost frightening seriousness when the occasion demands. He's also far more intelligent than he usually lets on. Just recently, he's started to view in new light the crush that Kristo's youngest sister, Polla, has had on him for years. He's a little worried about what Kris is going to think, though, if he admits to being in love with his baby sister.
Gaena/Alani Personalities
Darin Silkfingers - A thief, and Kevil and Zoya's lover, about twenty years ago. Darin was born a slave, and freed at about the age of fifteen by Zoya's master, Vasiliy Antonov. He died about five years later, sacrificing his life to help achieve revenge on the illithid who had killed Vasiliy.
Missa Misalin - A horse trader and trainer, the daughter of two of Darin's teachers. She adopted Darin when she was about five years old (he had just been brought to Alanis at the age of fifteen), and is still very fond of Kevil, in a little-sister kind of way. She is quickly becoming one of Loria's closest friends in Alanis.
Housekeepers and Other Domestics
Ingaliese - The Bluestars' chatelaine; Tarri's direct supervisor when she was the Bluestars' nanny. Ingaliese is actually a skilled assassin, imported from Jalavier Bluestar's Guild in Waterdeep to help guard his wife and son. The elven woman is strict, severe, and unswervingly loyal to Bluestar. Though you'd have to put her on the rack to make her admit it, she was also rather fond of Tarri.
Charity ("Ree") - Kevil and Loria's housekeeper. Ree used to be the housekeeper in the small brothel where her mother was the madam and her half-sisters worked as prostitutes; as a result she is utterly unsurprised by any of Kevil's strange Alani customs. She rules the kitchen with an iron fist (and a wooden spoon) and frequently cares for her young nephew, Daffyd, whom she is trying to train to be a houseboy, page, and (eventually) a butler.
