<Sanriel> ::coughs a few times at the door of the Bluestar mansion, carrying two small bundles of flowers and a small bag::
<Sanriel> ::takes a deep breath, then knocks on the door::
<Tarri> ::Ingaliese opens the door after a moment:: Master Tailorson.
<Sanriel> ::shifts slightly and smiles a little nervously:: umm, good afternoon. ::offers her one of the bundles of fresh flowers:: I'm.. here to see Miss Mandeil, please?
<Tarri> ::takes the flowers a little dubiously:: I was certain of that. She's in the nursery.
<Sanriel> ::blushes:: Thank you, ma'am. ::offers her another quick, nervous smile, then hurries down the hall::
<Tarri> ::Ingaliese watches him go, the slightest smile touching one side of her mouth::
<Tarri> ::Tarri is in the nursery, bouncing Corri on her knee and giggling at him::
<Sanriel> ::pokes his head into the nursery, smiling softly as he sees Tarri and just smiling and watching her for a moment::
<Sanriel> ::sighs happily and steps into the room, smiling brightly:: Hello, Tarri! Hello, Corri!
<Tarri> ::looks up with a big smile:: Sanriel!
<Tarri> ::balances Corri in one arm to give San a hug with the other arm::
<Sanriel> ::hugs Tarri carefully but enthusiastically::
<Sanriel> ::blushes a little:: I brought you some flowers.
<Tarri> ::beams:: Oh, that's so sweet!
<Sanriel> ::smiles widely and holds them out slightly:: What would you like me to do with them?
<Sanriel> ::grins at Corri and makes a funny face at him::
<Tarri> Oh, um... ::she balances Corri on her hip:: There's a glass of water over there. ::she points toward a counter::
<Sanriel> ::smiles and bounces a little:: Okay! ::fetches the glass of water and places the flowers in it, carefully placing the whole arrangement:: Is that okay?
<Tarri> ::smiles:: Great!
<Sanriel> ::beams happily and sets down the small sack:: Can I hold him for a minute? ::smiles a little shyly::
<Tarri> Sure! ::she holds Corri out for San to take::
<Sanriel> ::carefully but awkwardly takes Corri, then after giving Tarri a grin, proceeds to make faces and goo-goo noises at him::
<Tarri> ::giggles, watching Corri and San::
<Sanriel> ::giggles happily, smiling at the baby and at Tarri alternately:: It's really amazing how cute he is!
<Tarri> ::she smiles, looking at him:: Isn't it?
<Sanriel> I watched you playing with him for a minute before I came in. ::grins and giggles a little::
<Tarri> ::blushes:: Oh... Really?
<Sanriel> ::nods:: I think I felt a little jealous of both of you... ::trails off and blushes a little::
<Tarri> ::looks at him, slightly concerned:: Jealous? Why?
<Sanriel> Oh! Well.. you looked like you were having so much fun with Corri, I wanted to play too ::laughs, then blushes again quickly::
<Sanriel> And... well... I kind of wished I was the one you were holding... ::blushing more, but smiling a little::
<Tarri> Oh! ::she blushes and giggles:: That sounds kind of nice. ::she smiles at him::
<Sanriel> I thought so, too... ::meets Tarri's eyes and smiles wider, content to be lost there for a minute::
<Tarri> ::she smiles bashfully, looking at him for a long minute before turning shyly to examine the flowers::
<Sanriel> ::sighs softly and moves next to Tarri, shoulders just barely brushing while bouncing and tickling Corri::
<Tarri> ::glances up at San and smiles before looking back at the flowers, touching one gently:: Did you pick these yourself?
<Sanriel> ::nods:: I see some pretty ones out on some of my walks. ::blushes a little:: They make me think of you, so I remember where they are. Do you like them?
<Tarri> ::flushes a little:: Very much. ::she grins impishly at him:: Ingaliese will be jealous!
<Sanriel> ::blushes even more, voice quiet:: Well.. I bought her some, too...
<Tarri> Really? ::she giggles:: You're so sweet.
<Sanriel> ::clears his throat, still red:: Thank you.. ::smiles happily at the praise::
<Tarri> ::takes his arm, careful not to jostle his hold on Corri and nods toward the couch:: Come sit and talk with me. How's your school going?
<Sanriel> ::sits on the couch with Tarri, shifting his grip to accommodate Corri, and smiles at her:: Pretty well so far. It's still a little hard sometimes, not being able to read well yet... but they're good about remembering that.
<Tarri> Well, you can't be the only one who's just learning to read... I was something of an oddity, back home, reading...
<Sanriel> ::shakes his head a little, smiling:: I don't think you're at all odd! But I am very grateful for the help and that you *do* know how to read. ::laugh::
<Tarri> ::grins and says quietly:: I'm a little glad you needed the help...
<Sanriel> ::smiles:: I'm really glad I needed the help, too.
<Sanriel> ::smiles:: We're going to start some exercises and try to actually *do* something soon, though.
<Tarri> *Do* something? You mean... ::she touches her temple, then smiles:: That sounds exciting.
<Sanriel> ::smiles and shifts a little nervously:: It really is exciting! I'm pretty nervous, too. I mean.. Gloss helped me have a vision on purpose once. But this is a little scary. Trying to do something different with just my mind. At least with the visions, they're kind of distant. I can't remember having them, or what they are.
<Tarri> ::opens her eyes wide:: She did? And you remembered it and everything? San, that's exciting!
<Sanriel> ::giggles a little:: It was, actually! And I even did what I saw just a couple of minutes later!
<Tarri> But that's wonderful! So what are you trying this next time?
<Sanriel> I haven't been able to do it again, but I don't think I've really wanted to try. I've been a little scared too. ::blushes a little::
<Tarri> ::nods soberly:: I would be. What if you saw something awful and couldn't do anything about it?
<Sanriel> ::shivers a little and nods:: I've thought of that... Maybe tell Lady Nightstorm or something.
<Tarri> Are you going to learn to... to set fires? Like Val?
<Sanriel> I'm actually not sure what we're going to try next. There's some exercise where they're going to help us try to relax and see what we might be able to do.
<Tarri> Oh. So you don't... you don't know what else you can do, yet?
<Sanriel> ::shakes his head:: No. I'm learning a little of the different kind of things psi-psionics ::nods as he gets the word right:: can do. Lady Nightstorm told me that type of thing I didn't have any potential for.
<Tarri> Oh. ::looks a little relieved::
<Sanriel> No, I don't. ::grins a little:: That's kind of scary and exciting, though.
<Tarri> ::smiles:: I would think so... You'll tell me if you learn a new ability, won't you?
<Sanriel> ::awkwardly pats Tarri's shoulder:: Don't worry, Tarri... no matter what, I could never hurt you.
<Sanriel> Of course! ::smiles::
<Tarri> ::she nods:: I trust you, San. I just... ::she shrugs and smiles:: That one still scares me a little.
<Sanriel> ::nods and smiles gently:: I understand. But it's not even something I'll be able to do, so you don't have to worry.
<Tarri> ::she leans her head against his shoulder:: I wouldn't *worry* even if you did... But I'm happier you don't.
<Sanriel> ::smiles and shifts his shoulder to be more comfortable, then sighs happily:: Me, too. ::giggles:: I wouldn't want to be too like Val anyway... I want to be better at some of this stuff than he is. ::grin::
<Tarri> ::giggles:: I'm sure you will be.
<Sanriel> ::laughs:: Well he can't do any vision stuff, so I'm already a little bit better with that, even though I can't really control it yet.
<Tarri> See? ::she snuggles a little closer::
<Sanriel> mmmm.... ::contented sigh, leaning his head over on Tarri's::
<Sanriel> ::turns to kiss the top of her head::
<Tarri> ::sighs happily, reaching out with one hand to let Corri grab a finger::
<Sanriel> ::giggles:: You're even cuter than he is.
<Tarri> ::giggles, blushing:: Thank you.
<Sanriel> somehow.. I don't care about the cooking anymore... ::sighs happily, watching Corri play with Tarri's finger::
<Tarri> Cooking?
<Sanriel> ::nods slowly, smiling:: I brought a couple of rabbits for a cooking lesson...
<Tarri> Oh. ::she giggles:: We can do that.
<Sanriel> ::giggles:: We don't have to, though. I'm happy here... ::rubs his cheek against Tarri's hair gently, blushing slightly::
<Tarri> Mm... Me, too.
<Sanriel> ::shifts about a little and manages to hold Corri in one arm, settling his free one around Tarri::
<Sanriel> ::closes his eyes and snuggles into Tarri, then runs his hand lightly up and down her arm::
<Tarri> ::shivers lightly:: That feels nice...
<Sanriel> uh-huh! I think so, too. ::giggles and blushes a little, but doesn't stop::
<Sanriel> ::glances at Corri, behaving well as always:: He really isn't any trouble at all, is he?
<Tarri> Not usually, no... He does get fussy from time to time. I expect he'll be more trouble as he grows a bit and starts to learn to use his arms and legs more... But I don't really know how long it will take him to do that.
<Sanriel> ::smiles:: It's strange.. I know he's a little elf baby, but it doesn't seem to matter at all, does it?
<Sanriel> I'd never even seen an elf before I got here, and now I'm holding a little one. ::giggle:: It's kind of strange when I think about it.
<Tarri> ::smiles:: Me, either. I didn't even know they were elves when we got the letter offering me the position. I didn't know until I got here to Marsember.
<Sanriel> ::giggles again:: How surprised were you?
<Tarri> Oh, I almost fell out of the carriage! But Lady Bluestar was so nice, I almost forgot she was an elf.
<Sanriel> ::smiles:: She is really nice, isn't she? And there's a couple of dwarfs at the school, too. Despite the things I heard in fairy tales we all seem to be pretty alike.
<Tarri> ::giggles::
<Sanriel> well except the ears and the size and stuff. ::giggle::
<Tarri> Yeah, that.
<Tarri> ::whispers:: If I stop to look, they look a little funny... I wonder what we look like to them? Big, hulking giants?
<Sanriel> maybe.. though it doesn't seem to bother them at all.. I can understand some, I think. I was always shorter than all the other boys.
<Tarri> ::nods::
<Sanriel> So what else do you do while Corri's being good all day? ::grins::
<Tarri> ::chuckles:: Oh... Lots of things. I keep things tidy in here, and do some sewing... Mending, mostly. ::she giggles a little:: I read some, when he's sleeping.
<Tarri> Sometimes Lady Bluestar lets me run errands to the market for her. And I've been making a nuisance of myself in the kitchen.
<Sanriel> ::giggle:: My father would be proud of the sewing and mending.
<Tarri> ::giggles nervously:: I don't know that my sewing would hold up to a real tailor's inspection.
<Sanriel> ::small laugh:: It's better than mine!
<Tarri> ::laughs softly::
<Sanriel> What kinds of things do you read? I know we have textbooks and such for school...
<Tarri> Well... I have two books that Val gave me. And the Bluestars have a few books, though most of theirs are in elven, which I can't read yet.
<Sanriel> ::blinks and pauses a moment:: Oh wow.. I didn't even think about that.
<Tarri> ::giggles:: It's a pretty script, but I can't make out the letters.
<Sanriel> So... ::more than a little awed:: there are other languages, and each of them has their own writing? Wow...
<Tarri> ::nods:: It's a little scary.
<Sanriel> It is! I'm only trying to learn the one! How long must it take to learn more than one?
<Tarri> ::she shakes her head:: I don't know. I'm trying to learn to speak elven, but it's taking a long time.
<Sanriel> Wow, you are? ::impressed::
<Tarri> Well... The Bluestars are elven, and most of the servants except me... I sort of *have* to.
<Sanriel> ::chuckle:: I guess that makes sense, yeah. So you're learning a lot, too. ::smiles::
<Tarri> Yeah. It's slow... Lord Bluestar just recently stopped teasing me about my accent when I wished him good day...
<Sanriel> ::giggle::
<Sanriel> What's Gloss' library like? I know you've been there a couple of times. ::resumes rubbing Tarri's arms gently::
<Tarri> Oh... ::voice full of wonder:: I've never *seen* such a place, Sanriel. It's... It's *enormous*, maybe as big as this whole *house*, and there's row after row of books... Thousands, maybe.
<Sanriel> ::grins:: It sounds like you really love it!
<Tarri> ::giggles softly:: Not as much as Gloss does.
<Sanriel> ::short laugh:: No, I bet not. But still... I'd like to see it with you sometime. I know she said she wanted to show it to me sometime, too. But I'd like to watch you looking around. ::giggle::
<Tarri> ::grins:: We'll go visit her when she comes back.
<Sanriel> ::nods happily:: Okay!
<Sanriel> ::softly:: know what?
<Tarri> What?
<Sanriel> I love you. ::smiles::
<Tarri> ::lifts her head to look at him, smiling:: I love you, too.
<Sanriel> ::shivers a little:: And I love hearing that. ::blushes a little::
<Tarri> ::grins, then leans forward until her lips are almost touching his ear, and whispers:: I love you, Sanriel Tailorson...
<Sanriel> ::shivers again and catches his breath::
<Tarri> ::giggles a little:: Don't drop the baby, San.
<Sanriel> ::takes a deep breath:: I won't...
<Tarri> ::looks at him, smiling and sighing contentedly::
<Sanriel> ::brings his free hand around the brush Tarri's hair behind her ear:: And I love you, Tarisa Mandeil. ::smiling and flushed, leans in to kiss her gently, nearly holding his breath::
<Tarri> ::closes her eyes and lifts one hand to touch his cheek as they kiss::
<Sanriel> ::holds the kiss for what seems like forever, then a little reluctantly pull back a bit to breathe, almost panting::
<Tarri> ::takes a deep breath as the kiss ends, and lets it out very slowly before opening her eyes:: I'll never get tired of that. ::she blushes a little, but smiles::
<Sanriel> ::also smiling and blushing, voice very quiet:: me either...
<Tarri> ::lays her head against his shoulder again::
<Sanriel> ::takes a deep breath, smiling ecstatically at Tarri, then looks at Corri with a little grin:: He doesn't seem to be at all bothered.
<Tarri> ::chuckles:: He's pretty easy-going. ::she reaches out to tickle Corri a little::
<Sanriel> ::puts his arm back around Tarri, shaking a little bit until he holds her again, and grins:: Did you know you've got the prettiest nursemaid in the whole world, little guy?
<Tarri> ::blushes:: You're exaggerating, San.
<Sanriel> ::grinning still and shaking his head:: I don't think so.
<Tarri> ::blushes more:: You're so sweet.
<Sanriel> ::takes his turn to blush:: I try... ::little giggle::
<Sanriel> ::sniffs:: What's that?
<Tarri> ::sniffs:: Ooh, it's Corri. ::She scoops Corri up and carries him across the room to a changing table::
<Sanriel> Oh! ::blushes a little, then gets up to follow, looking curious::
<Sanriel> I've never actually seen this before... ::trying to stay out of the way, grinning a little::
<Tarri> ::laughs:: It's not pretty.
<Sanriel> That's okay, I can probably take it! ::only half-believing::
<Tarri> ::She pulls off Corri's diaper, then cleans and changes him with smooth efficiency, dropping the dirty cloths into a bucket under the table::
<Sanriel> ::blinks in surprise after making a few faces and icky-smell noises:: Wow, you're fast at that!
<Tarri> ::chuckles drily:: Lots of practice. The faster, the better.
<Sanriel> ::laughs and nods:: I can smell why!
<Tarri> ::she throws a handful of powder into the bucket, which seems to help with the smell, then carries Corri to his crib:: Time for your nap, little elfling.
<Sanriel> ::smiles at Tarri puts the baby down for a nap, looking at him over her shoulder::
<Tarri> ::glances back up at San as she settles Corri, and smiles::
<Sanriel> ::smiles a bit shyly at Tarri and takes her hand, leading her back to the couch again::
<Tarri> ::grins bashfully as she follows him back to the couch::
<Sanriel> ::quietly, blushing a little:: We should just sit quietly for a while, then... while he goes to sleep. ::sits down slowly::
<Tarri> ::giggles a little and sits next to him, leaning against him comfortably::
<Sanriel> ::settles in, snuggling happily and quietly with Tarri, a look of pure joy evident behind the slight blush::
<Tarri> ::snuggles closer as Sanriel settles, resting her head on his shoulder and one hand against his chest. She sighs softly:: I love you.
<Sanriel> ::quietly and fervently:: Oh Tarri... I love you, too. ::holds her close and rests one hand over the one on his chest::
