* Sanriel relaxes physically and noticeably as he walks under the trees, breathing out a long, but soft, sigh, and smiling beatifically back at Tarri and Lisl.

* Tarri smiles as she watches Sanriel undergo the usual transformation.

<Sanriel>::lays a hand on the nearest tree, closing his eyes and breathing evenly for a moment:: It feels good to be back.

* Lisl grins a little, pausing a moment and leaning on her new bow-staff to bend down and pick up a handful of leaf mulch, rubbing it thoughtfully between her fingers.

* Tarri watches Sanriel with a grin, waiting for him to get his balance.

* Lisl drops her handful and straightens again. "The rain's soaked in well... good for tracks. Maybe we'll see some."

<Sanriel>::opens his eyes again and smiles again:: Can you feel it, Tarri? ::gently places her hand next to his on the tree:: So alive...

<Sanriel>See some what, Lisl? Deer?

* Tarri laughs a bit, but gamely closes her eyes and concentrates on the tree for a while.

<Lisl>::nodding:: Well, their track, anyway. Deer have sharper ears than humans do. ::glancing covertly at San, and away again to look around:: But yes, deer, rabbit, fox, raccoon... maybe a wolf or two. They're around.

<Tarri>::looks up at Sanriel, alarmed:: Wolves?

<Sanriel>::smiles and shakes his head:: Don't worry, wolves usually aren't dangerous as long as you respect them and leave them alone.

<Lisl>::shakes her head:: Don't worry. They'll stay away. They're shy, too.

<Tarri>::looks troubled, shifting a little closer to Sanriel:: If you say so...

<Sanriel>::nods:: You won't see them unless you're lucky. I do, once and a while. ::grins:: They're lovely animals, really.

<Tarri>::looks dubious:: Sanriel, I grew up in a sheep-farming village. The *last* thing we ever wanted to see were wolves.

<Lisl>This late in the season, they've no pups to guard... spring is when you need to be very careful. But I know their dens around here. We'll be fine, Tarri. ::chuckles:: No sheep around here.

<Sanriel>Oh. ::looks chagrined:: Sorry, good point.

<Sanriel>::giggles a little:: Right, no sheep to worry about, just us.

* Tarri glances at Lisl, then nods briefly. She slides an arm around Sanriel and leans her head against his shoulder for a moment, letting out a quiet sigh before straightening.

<Lisl>::firmly:: The wolves around here won't attack us, San.

<Tarri>Weren't you going to teach me how to walk? Or do you need to recover a little more first?

* Sanriel hugs Tarri and kisses the top of her head gently.

<Sanriel>They've never bothered me, here or at home. ::smiles:: I wasn't worried.

<Sanriel>::grins:: That's a good idea. Although maybe we should have Lisl help us? ::smiles at Lisl:: Since you're better at this than I am.

* Lisl smiles to herself, a little, glancing around again.

<Lisl>::looking a little surprised:: Teach her how to walk? Oh, you mean quietly?

* Tarri looks from Sanriel to Lisl, opens her mouth, closes it again, and then shrugs. "If you think that would be best."

<Sanriel>::nods:: Right, how to walk properly out here. Quietly and carefully. ::smiles::

<Sanriel>I wouldn't mind learning a bit from her too, love. ::takes Tarri's hand and squeezes it for a moment::

<Tarri>::smiles faintly at San::

* Sanriel returns the smile and brushes Tarri's hair back tenderly.

<Lisl>Hm. Well, first thing to keep in mind is that there's more to watch out for than in a clear street in town. There's what you normally look at ::she extends her arm points with two fingers at eye-level, towards the distance:: But there are things above you, such as birds that can be disturbed by your passing...

* Sanriel falls silent and pays attention to Lisl, nodding slowly.

* Tarri looks around at the trees above and around them, looking for birds and other little animals.

<Lisl>And tree branches to whack you in the face if you're not looking ::grinning and tugging on a nearby hemlock branch:: And underbrush ::pointing towards her knees:: and then the uneven ground, with its own hazards. ::stamping a foot lightly::

* Lisl startles a hidden rabbit from the underbrush with the stomp of her foot, and grins. "See?"

* Sanriel grins a little

<Tarri>::nods a little::

* Tarri watches the rabbit run away, a smile hovering around her lips.

* Sanriel half-reaches for his unstrung bow, then chuckles softly and stops.

<Lisl>Best way to think of it is like when you're walking around a strange house at night. You're aware there are things you might run into, you're not quite sure if there's a child's toy on the floor you might trip on, and you don't want to knock your head on the chandelier. Right? So you walk slowly, and stay balanced *between* your feet, rather than committing to each step right away.

* Sanriel half-giggles at the analogy.

<Tarri>::frowns, trying to work it through in her mind.

<Lisl>Like... ::frowning a moment:: Have you ever skied? In the winter, I mean, Tarri?

<Sanriel>::looks puzzled:: Skied?

<Tarri>::shakes her head:: What's that?

* Sanriel smiles at Tarri's mutual ignorance.

<Lisl>::nodding:: Easier to show you, come winter, rather than describe it, San. ::sighs:: Ah, well.

<Lisl>It's a quick way to get around in the snow, and an ideal way to explain shifting balance, but well enough. ::shakes her head:: I can show you *that* later, if you'd like.

<Sanriel>::grins:: Okay.

<Tarri>::cocks her head:: Is it like ice-skating?

<Sanriel>Umm, how about dancing? Balance is pretty important there, too.

<Lisl>::looks around, stepping more into the clearing around the tree:: Ahh, you've skated? Yes, similar, but not so fast. Here, let me show you.

* Tarri watches Lisl dutifully.

* Sanriel takes Tarri's hand again and watches Lisl with interest.

* Lisl takes several steps very slowly and deliberately, showing them how she keeps her weight over her hips and places her feet carefully, "sliding" weight from one foot to the other rather than stepping down firmly. As she crosses the clearing, she picks up the pace, until she's walking with her usual gliding, casual grace.

* Tarri leans almost gratefully against Sanriel as she watches Lisl.

* Sanriel watches Lisl's walking closely, leaning just slightly back into Tarri.

<Tarri>::smiles briefly up at Sanriel:: Is this how you learned it, too?

<Sanriel>::chuckles softly:: Sorta. Watching someone do it who knows how helps a bit.. then you can think about it and picture it a bit when you try to walk... There's so much to keep track of it seems... keeping your balance right, watching around you, listening, placing your feet carefully...

* Lisl turns and walks back with a grin. "The tricky part is that you've got to pay attention overhead, right in front, at a distance, and down at your feet *while* you're doing all this. ::nodding at San::

<Tarri>::nods and looks back at Lisl:: It looks hard.

<Lisl>It is hard, for some. But it gets easier with practice, I'm told.

<Sanriel>::wrinkles his forehead a bit: But the thing is, once you know how to do it.. it comes naturally. You just... walk properly. Sometimes it's harder, like when there's more underbrush, or lots of leaves and twigs.

<Tarri>::nods::

<Lisl>Different terrain, there's different tricks of how to place your feet. In desert, for example, this'd be way too tiring.

<Sanriel>Desert? ::thinks:: That's a really hot place with lots of sand and no water, right?

<Lisl>My advice, try one thing at a time. Right now, you may just want to start with observing the obstacles, being aware of what you're stepping on. The walking can come later, after you've had a bit to practice alone where you won't feel so silly. ::smiling encouragingly::

<Tarri>::smiles a little::

<Lisl>::nods:: You met my friend Elgara'a, while she was here? She's a desert-dweller. From Anauroch, to the north.

<Sanriel>::giggles:: I guess you can practice the normal walking anywhere. I just did it all out here in the woods, when I was learning.

<Sanriel>Oh! She was from the desert? Wow... I wonder if I'll ever see it myself.

<Lisl>::chuckles:: Well, Anauroch's only... hm, about two week's steady ride to the north, but don't ever go there without a reliable guide. It's a dangerous place.

<Sanriel>Oh... okay. ::smiles at Tarri:: I have other trips to take first, anyway.

<Tarri>::smiles at Sanriel:: I wonder how far you can go with that tele- tele- ::she frowns:: That spell.

* Lisl grins and nods. "Teleport? I think it depends on the mage. But I hear it's not too reliable in Anauroch... and the natives are pretty superstitious about magic."

<Sanriel>Umm... supposedly anywhere you've been before. It's one of the psionic abilities we were learning about. You just picture that area and you can go there.

<Sanriel>Does it work differently for magic? ::shakes his head a little:: I'm just learning about psionic stuff.

<Tarri>Oh. ::she looks a little downcast, then smiles at Sanriel:: I was hoping, maybe, if it was pretty easy to do, we could visit *your* family.

<Lisl>::lifting her eyebrows:: Ah, psionics can do it, too? Good to know. ::frowns a moment:: Ah, yes-- Tyl's used it a time or two, now that I think about it.

<Tarri>But if they have to have seen it...

<Lisl>Could they... ::makes a grasping motion:: Take the image from your head? Another psionic, I mean. After all, you've been there, San.

<Sanriel>::hugs Tarri and smiles at Lisl:: I *think* so. I don't know much about the theories or how it works, yet.

<Lisl>::shakes her head:: I don't know how the magic half works. I'm no mage, though Mother, I'm sure, would be happy to explain it to you. ::grinning a little::

<Sanriel>And heck, maybe that'll be one of the things I'll be able to do someday.

<Tarri>::smiles:: That would be neat!

<Lisl>::nodding judiciously:: Possible. Who knows? How old were you, San, when you first started having the visions?

<Sanriel>::grins back:: Or maybe I'll get telepathy and be able to put an image in someone else's head. ::grins::

<Sanriel>Oh, you mom's a magic user? That must have been interesting!

<Tarri>::looks at Sanriel and smiles:: I wish you could talk in my head. That would be wonderful.

<Lisl>::laughs:: Frightening, you mean. She's a magical researcher, or has been, at least, for most of my memory. She adventured, before I was born. It was how she and my father met.

<Sanriel>How old? Ummm... people started really talking about it just a couple of years ago, so maybe around 15 or so? Probably a bit earlier.. people didn't notice all the time, and I didn't start passing out and taking longer for a while , I think.

<Sanriel>::smiles at Tarri:: That would be neat!

<Sanriel>They met adventuring? So by chance, kinda like how Tarri and I bumped into each other in the market, because I'd seen Cwalindia at the school? :::grins::

<Lisl>::nodding:: So...two or three years, to develop the one talent. Hm. ::shrugs::

<Tarri>::smiles at Sanriel::

<Lisl>::nodding:: Well, Mother would say Hanali had a hand in it, but yes, by main chance.

<Sanriel>::furrows his brow a bit:: I don't know if I really developed it, so much as it started working on its own... I can't really control it.

<Sanriel>At least not *yet*. ::smiles::

<Lisl>::cocking her head:: But you didn't pass out, this last time, in the Hall. Though it was short.

<Tarri>::squeezes Sanriel's hand:: I'm sure you'll be able to control it soon!

<Sanriel>::nods:: I don't always. Sometimes it's just been little things. ::thinks:: I guess I've mostly had bigger ones more recently.

<Sanriel>::smiles at Tarri and nods:: I think so, too! I'm learning so much! And I *did* control it that one time, with Gloss' help.

<Lisl>::nodding and smiling slightly:: Like when I met you. You went stiff and dropped like a log. Oddest thing.

<Sanriel>::nods a little:: Yeah, Tarri's pretty good at catching me, now. ::giggles and squeezes her hand fondly::

<Tarri>::giggles:: I have to always be prepared, with you! I'm glad you didn't fall over this last time - I'd have felt awful if you'd hurt yourself because I was watching Meghan have her baby while you were falling over!

<Sanriel>::laughs:: That was the more important thing, though. And it wouldn't have been much of a fall.

* Lisl smiles more broadly. "I was all ready to catch him, once I realized what he was saying. I was surprised when he *didn't* fall over."

<Sanriel>Oh! ::laughs again::

<Tarri>::flashes a quick smile at Lisl:: That's good, but... it wouldn't have been the same. I've gotten kinda used to taking care of him. ::she grins at San::

* Sanriel blushes

<Lisl>::nodding:: I understand.

* Tarri giggles and hugs Sanriel.

<Sanriel>::hugs Tarri back and smiles:: So, umm.. shall we practice a little walking?

<Lisl>Sure... and for fun, tell me what you hear, and see if you can identify it. It helps to use as many senses as you can, out in the woods.

<Tarri>::closes her eyes:: Cicadas.

<Sanriel>::smiles at Tarri:: You want to go first, beloved? Since you need to practice the looking around, it might help if no one's in front of you... but I'll be *right* behind you the whole time.

<Tarri>Um... ::looks uncertain:: I don't know if I can do it.

<Sanriel>::smiles encouragingly:: It's okay. I won't let you walk into anything.. just go slow, and look everywhere. We're not in a hurry. ::kisses Tarri gently:: We're just learning and practicing.

<Lisl>::nods:: Do the best you can, Tarri, it's alright. We're not hunting, so it doesn't matter if you flush something by accident.

* Tarri blushes, then takes a deep breath. "I.... Okay..." She stands still for a minute, looking around carefully.

* Sanriel gives Tarri another encouraging smile and moves in close behind her.

* Sanriel watches Tarri closely, smiling a moment as she looks around hesitantly, then begins also looking around at everything, taking it all in and beginning to take long, soft breaths.

* Tarri takes another deep breath, then takes tentative step, trying to mimic Lisl's smooth motion not entirely unsuccessfully. Encouraged by her lack of total failure, she takes another step, and another, holding her breath all the while, before slipping and nearly tripping over a twig. She stops, wincing.

* Lisl steps behind San, speaking softly. "There are paths you can use in the woods, too. Deer track themselves all over the place. Just be careful to keep sure of your direction, if you use one. It's easy to get lost if you don't have a good direction sense."

<Lisl>Are you alright, Tarri?

<Tarri>Y-yes... I think so.

* Sanriel puts a comforting hand on her shoulder, then kneels down and looks at her ankle, touching it gently.

<Sanriel>does that hurt, love..? ::concerned::

<Tarri>I'm okay, San. It doesn't hurt. I'm just kind of embarrassed. It was right there in front me. I even *saw* it.

<Lisl>::shakes her head:: Don't be embarrassed. It's a lot to keep sorted out, first time out. ::smiling a little:: Think how many times toddlers fall over, before they get their two little legs sorted out beneath them.

<Sanriel>::smiles up at her:: It's okay, really. My first time... I fell down on my first step and cut my knee on a rock.

<Lisl>::winces:: Ow.

<Sanriel>::blushes a little::

<Sanriel>::stands up and hugs Tarri from behind:: Breathe... don't worry about falling, I'll catch you. I'm *right* here the whole time, okay? Relax. ::smiles and kisses her cheek and steps back a little::

* Lisl glances briefly towards their right before bending to look at Tarri's ankle. "But-- no blood? You're alright?"

<Tarri>::nods:: I just tripped a little.

<Lisl>::nodding:: Alright. ::stepping back again, her own feet making almost no noise through the underbrush::

* Sanriel touches Tarri's back gently and reassuringly, just a moment, to remind her of his closeness.

* Tarri takes another deep breath and looks out into the woods. "Right... That tree." She glances back over her shoulder at Sanriel and smiles, then looks ahead again. Another steadying breath, and she steps forward again, moving slowly.

* Sanriel smiles back and relaxes again, looking around everywhere, but always keeping one eye on Tarri.

<Lisl>::follows San, her eyes on Tarri, nodding approvingly::

<Tarri>::Bit by bit, far from silent, but much quieter than usual, she makes her way across the clearing. When she reaches the tree, she reaches out and touches it, hugging it like a lifeline, giggling somewhat hysterically.:: I made it!

* Sanriel claps happily and hugs Tarri and the tree.

<Sanriel>Very good!

* Tarri laughs and turns around to hug Sanriel.

<Lisl>::smiles:: You did very well, Tarri.

* Tarri looks at Lisl with a wry smile. "I didn't even know either of you were *there*."

* Sanriel kisses his love happily and nods in agreement.

<Sanriel>::grins:: You must have been very focused.

<Tarri>::laughs again:: I just wanted to get to this tree. For all I knew, neither of you had moved an inch and were just standing over there ::she points back at their starting point:: laughing at me.

<Sanriel>::shakes his head:: Definitely not, dear. I told you I'd be right behind you the whole way. And you did really well. ::smiles:: It helps that you're so graceful, I think.

<Tarri>::blushes:: I've got a long way to go, though.

<Lisl>::shaking her head:: And we wouldn't laugh at you. ::grins:: I've fallen on my own behind too many times when I was learning, for that.

* Tarri glances up at Lisl, still flushed. "I can't imagine you *ever* falling on your behind."

* Sanriel giggles at the thought.

<Sanriel>::grins at Tarri:: And not as far as I had to go, though.

<Lisl>Ha! Believe it. It was a long time ago, and I'd love to forget it, but it happened nonetheless. One of those things Mother keeps to remind me of when I get cocky.

<Tarri>::looks at Sanriel dubiously:: Now I don't believe you. You started running off into the woods when you were, what? Four?

<Sanriel>well yeah, but I *hid*. I couldn't walk quiet for *years*. ::smiles::

<Lisl>Heh... running. Now that's a *different* lesson altogether.

<Sanriel>::grins over at Lisl:: Very!

<Tarri>::giggles and kisses Sanriel on the cheek:: I still think you probably learned faster than I will. If only because you really *love* it out here so much.

<Sanriel>::giggles and blushes a little:: But I got distracted a lot, too.

<Lisl>::grins:: When I first saw him in these woods, he stepped on a twig because he was grinning up at a tree. ::her tone a little teasing::

<Sanriel>Okay, I'll take a turn, now. I need to practice moving my leg that way again.. I can't do it right in the city.

<Sanriel>::blushes:: There were a pair of lovebirds up there, they were cute!

* Tarri releases Sanriel so he can practice.

* Sanriel takes a deep breath and opens his eyes, his stance changing subtly as he slowly starts to stalk down the animal trail. He looks off to the left with a little smile and says softly, "crows..."

* Lisl glides along behind San silently at a little distance, watching him interestedly.

* Tarri stands still, watching Sanriel and Lisl.

* Lisl nods.

* Sanriel takes a few more steps and glances at some underbrush ahead, not far, again speaking softly, "raccoon... hiding." He grins a little. "He knows we're here."

* Tarri shifts slightly, trying to stay quiet, to keep them in view.

* Lisl nods again, glancing at his injured leg, checking for signs of strain.

* Sanriel walks a little further, mostly quietly, favoring his left leg just a bit, so his gait just a tad awkward.

* Sanriel cocks his head and looks off to the right... he pauses and closes his eyes, then shakes his head a bit. Softly, he says, "three... I think." He walks a little further, glancing to the right a few times. "Keeping pace? ..."

<Sanriel>::stops and looks around at Tarri with a little giggle:: You don't need to hold your breath, beloved.

* Tarri lets her breath out with a soft giggle. "I didn't even realize I was doing it."

* Lisl stalks a little closer to San, her body language almost predatory as she watches him intently. ::softly:: Three what?

<Sanriel>::smiles, then looks a little startled as Lisl approaches:: Ummm...

* Tarri continues to lag back, trying to spot the things Sanriel saw or heard.

* Sanriel closes his eyes and cocks his head in the direction of the unidentified noises for a moment.

<Sanriel>::softly:: a little... sort of whine? ::shakes his head:: It's softer now.. maybe wolves? I can't think of anything else that would pace us... too big for something little, I think. And deer would move away.

<Lisl>::grinning a little:: Shall we test your guess?

<Lisl>::looks back at Tarri:: Just giving you advanced warning-- don't be scared, alright?

* Tarri looks at Sanriel suddenly, then looks out into the brush, covering her mouth with both hands. She nods slowly at Lisl.

<Sanriel>::smiles back:: I don't think I could sneak up on a wolf at my best, Lisl. But I wouldn't mind going to look if Tarri's okay with it..

<Sanriel>::hurries over to Tarri and takes her in his arms:: Shhh... we don't have to, love...

* Tarri looks up at Sanriel, her eyes wide, and shudders slightly. "If... if you want to..." She smiles tremulously. "I've never seen a wolf before, really."

* Lisl glances at San. "To the right, you said, I think?" She cups her hands around her mouth and faces to the right, tipping her head back and howling softly, wolf-like. After a moment, three invisible voices from deeper into the brush return a howl, and move off away from the human trio.

* Sanriel blinks in surprise when Lisl howls, and a bit more startled when the answer comes. "Whoa..."

<Tarri>::looks out into the brush, her eyes tracking the howls. She stands rock-still in Sanriel's arms, like a frozen rabbit::

* Sanriel hugs Tarri close, gently stroking her hair.

<Lisl>::cocks her ear, listening to their louder movement through the brush now, and points suddenly to a rise in the distance. "There they are! See?" Two pale shapes flit from the trees briefly and disappear over the rise. One darker one stands on the rise a moment, looking back. The silhouette is definitely a wolf.

<Sanriel>Shhh.. it's okay, beloved.... We're in no danger, I promise you. ::smiles just slightly:: And they... ::looks over at the silhouette with wonder::

<Sanriel>::quietly lets out a held breath:: Oooo...

* Tarri watches the wolf on the rise.

<Lisl>::keeping her voice low:: I knew they were close... we passed fresh spoor a little father back. Just curious, I imagine. ::the wolf on the rise, after a good long look, points his nose to the air and howls once more before likewise disappearing over the rise::

* Sanriel turns to watch Tarri's face.

<Sanriel>::softly:: Are you alright...?

* Tarri winces and shudders at the last howl, then seems to break from a state of paralysis as the wolf disappears. "I..." She looks at Sanriel. "I'll be okay."

<Sanriel>::hugs Tarri tighter:: Okay, love.. it's alright, really. ::offers Lisl a small smile over Tarri's shoulder::

<Lisl>::her voice still soft:: There have been exactly two wolf attacks on humans in these woods since I've lived here. One, the Dragons have put down to a Beastmaster, or maybe a pair of them-- it wasn't just wolves. The other was a pair of poachers, trying to trap wolf cubs live for someone's menagerie down south.

<Lisl>For the most part, you leave them alone, they leave you alone. They're curious, sometimes, but unless you do something to draw their attention, most of the time you'd never know they were there.

<Sanriel>::nods to Lisl, then leans back a little and studies Tarri:: Want to go home now, Tarri-love?

* Tarri hides her face against Sanriel's shoulder for a long moment, then finally sighs and straightens before facing Lisl. "I just..." She tries to smile and almost succeeds. "I grew up on horror stories. It... It's hard not to remember them."

<Sanriel>::smiles gently:: It's alright...

<Lisl>::nodding gravely:: I understand. In a farming village, it'd be different. Just letting you know that the truth isn't always as scary as the fiction. They're wild animals, and yes, they can be dangerous. So can humans. But they're not evil by nature.

<Tarri>::nods slowly::

* Lisl smiles.

<Tarri>::sighs softly and makes a wry face:: And I was doing so well.

<Sanriel>::nods and smiles:: It's just a part of nature. Nothing out here is good or bad. They just live as they are, as they're supposed to be. And wolves hunt things like bunnies and deer. Not us.

<Sanriel>::gently:: You still *are*.

* Lisl nods agreement with Sanriel.

<Sanriel>::grins a little:: Heck, the girls back home would sometimes scream if the wolves howled too close, and they *knew* they're not dangerous.

<Tarri>::whispering:: I wanted to scream. I was too scared.

<Lisl>::nodding:: It's alright, Tarri. I'm sorry, I should have given you better warning.

<Sanriel>::hugs Tarri again::

<Sanriel>I'm sorry, love. But *I* think that's not as bad as losing it and screaming.

<Lisl>But they didn't come close, and even if they had, San and I are both armed. ::gesturing to the bow-staves, and the knife on her belt::

<Sanriel>C'mon, let's go home. We've done a lot, and my leg's started to ache a bit.

<Tarri>::looks up at Lisl:: I... It's okay. You *told* me there was nothing to be afraid of. I'm just... ::she sighs::

<Lisl>::nods:: You were limping a little, back there, towards the end.

<Tarri>::looks at Sanriel with sudden concern:: Why didn't you say? Come on, we should get you home.

<Sanriel>It's okay to be scared, Tarri. We all are sometimes.

<Lisl>::nods:: It's one thing to know it with your head, and another to feel it with your heart. ::gently:: It's alright, really.

<Sanriel>::grins a little ruefully:: I.. wanted to stay out a bit longer, I'm sorry.

<Sanriel>And haven't you ever heard the stories about wolves finding lost human babies and raising them as their own?

<Tarri>::laughs:: Those are just fairy tales. ::she puts an arm around him to help support his bad leg::

<Lisl>::chuckling:: Oh, is *that* why you were always running off to the woods when you were little? ::teasing San::

<Sanriel>::blushes and giggles:: Only a couple of times for that... mostly I was trying to avoid getting punished. ::grins at Tarri::

<Tarri>::giggles quietly::

<Lisl>Oh, a young hellion, were you? Well, I can relate to that. ::grinning::

<Sanriel>::nudges Tarri as he puts an arm around her as well:: So maybe the scary stories you heard were fairy tales, too.

<Sanriel>::giggles:: Yeah, I was pretty terrible. Almost as bad as Tarri. ::grins widely::

<Tarri>Hey! ::playfully slaps Sanriel's arm::

* Lisl laughs, startling a flock of roosting birds into flight, and covers her mouth. "Oops."

* Sanriel mock-winces and giggles even more.

* Sanriel looks back at Lisl and laughs openly now, hugging Tarri and leaning on her a little more.

* Tarri giggles again, and puts her arm back around Sanriel to help him walk.

* Lisl turns and follows after the pair, pausing momentarily to look over her shoulder at the rise in the distance, and shaking her head with a grin.
