<Sanriel> ::smiles at Tarri as the leave the Meadehall:: Are you getting enough rest now? You still do look really tired...

<Tarri> ::smiles up at Sanriel:: Well... not as much as I'd *like* to get, but Corri never really let me sleep as much as I wanted, either.

<Sanriel> ::keeps his arm wrapped around her, chuckling:: I guess in a way it was good training, huh? Funny how things work out that way..

<Sanriel> I'd heard how bad it was through those two weeks.. ::lowers his voice a little:: I really wanted to come see you, but.. ::sighs:: I knew all I'd do would be to eat into your time to sleep.

<Sanriel> ::grins a little:: I did come spy on you a couple of times, though...

* Tarri hugs Sanriel a little tighter. "I think I'd have been willing to give up a couple hours' sleep to- what?" She looks up at him in amazement. "You did *what*?"

<Sanriel> From what they told me, you weren't even getting *that* much sleep, though. ::frowns:: I was still worried about you, though.. I watches you helping some of the people, there. That old man with the broken arm.. the little girl, with the curly hair. ::sighs, looking pained:: I saw how much you helped them, that they even managed to smile for you a little. I couldn't pull you away from those people.

<Tarri> ::a little dazed:: You... I... It... ::she stops walking and puts both arms around him, hugging him close:: Oh, San...

* Sanriel wraps his arms around Tarri and holds her tightly, taking a deep breath as her presses his face into her hair.

<Sanriel> I had to at least see you a bit.. I hope you're not mad...

* Tarri looks up at Sanriel after a long moment, tears standing in her eyes. She lifts one hand to touch his face gently. "Sanriel... you're more important to me than... than *any*thing. I would do anything for you."

<Sanriel> ::blinks hard, his voice soft, but rougher with emotion:: I know. ::shuts his eyes:: That's why.. I couldn't pull you from those people.. Tarri, they needed you. I knew I'd be with you later.. ::opens his eyes again, shivering a bit:: But they really needed you then... and I know how much it means to you to help like that.. so brave, to face all that pain, and still be able to help..

<Tarri> I just... If I had to choose, between the healing and you... ::she smiles up at him:: I'm glad you understand, so I don't have to.

<Sanriel> ::shakes his head vehemently:: I know.. I would never ask you to do that.

<Tarri> ::hugs him again:: I know... that's why I love you.

<Sanriel> ::softly:: I love you, too. Very, very much.

<Tarri> ::sighs happily:: I missed you... ::she smiles again:: Next time you come in, at least say hi. We're not so busy now.

<Sanriel> ::squeezes Tarri tighter, taking a deep breath:: I will, I promise.

<Tarri> Good! ::she stands up on her toes and kisses him::

<Sanriel> mmm.. ::returns the kiss enthusiastically, leaning into Tarri and running his hands down her back::

<Tarri> Mmm... ::After a long while, Tarri breaks off and smiles at him:: We shouldn't just stand in the street like this... where should we go?

<Sanriel> ::grins:: Where would you like to go?

<Tarri> Um... Somewhere out of the wind, at least! ::she grins back::

<Sanriel> ::laughs:: You shouldn't feel in quite so much with my cloak and I protecting you. ::grins and hugs Tarri again:: Back home for you then? So we won't have to venture out again?

<Tarri> ::ponders for a moment:: Sure; back to the temple. I'm pretty sure we can find a quiet corner to sit in. ::she smiles and slips her hand into his::

<Sanriel> As my Princess commands. ::grins and bows a little, then straightens up and starts back towards the temple, breathing deeply and looking very pleased and refreshed::

<Tarri> ::laughs softly and leans her head against his shoulder as they walk::

<Sanriel> What a nice night... ::grinning:: So tell me about the new things you're learning. I did notice you're actually wearing that healer's knot, there, too.

* Sanriel squeezes Tarri's hand, watching her, occasionally glancing around the street.

<Tarri> ::touches the embroidery on her robe with the fingers of her free hand:: That's... pretty much just so they can tell the difference between me and the volunteers who are doing fetch-and-carry work. The knot doesn't make me a healer. ::she smiles::

<Sanriel> Well.. I might be biased, but I think you've earned it. And soon enough it'll be official! ::smiles back::

<Tarri> ::laughs:: I guess so... It still seems like an awfully long way off.

<Sanriel> How long is actually supposed to take?

<Sanriel> ::grins a little:: Longer than I'll be at the school?

<Tarri> ::makes a wry face:: "As long as it takes," they tell me. I've talked to some of the apprentices and Dawngreeters... they say it usually takes a couple of years. But the ones who join the order don't really pay that much attention, because, well... what's the rush? ::she smiles:: And the ones who don't join, they leave.

<Sanriel> ::laughs:: Sounds more like my training back home, then... while you're doing it, you constantly training, and drilling, and leaning new things. That kind of thing can be pretty exciting. ::grins:: And can be a lot fun sometimes, especially when you love it...

<Tarri> ::grins sheepishly:: Yeah, a couple of times I would look up and not know what day it was. ::she smiles:: How long do you have left at school? A year? Two?

<Sanriel> ::grins a little:: Something like that... I think it's another year if I pass the tests coming up before the break. And I think more tests, then...

<Tarri> ::nods, then smiles uneasily:: I haven't asked, yet, what happens to my apprenticeship after we get married... if I still have to live in the temple, or if they'll let me live somewhere else and come in for training, or... or what.

<Sanriel> ::squeezes Tarri's hand reassuringly:: We'll work it out one way or another. Are you not supposed to be married while an apprentice..? Or do you just not know? We can wait... we're together, and that's what *really* matters. ::smiles::

<Sanriel> And.. have you thought about joining? I don't know what's involved...

<Tarri> ::shakes her head:: I don't know. I mean, most of the apprentices have joined the order... I'm definitely not joining. I don't want to be a priestess for Lathander. I just want to help people.

<Sanriel> You're such a good person... ::grins at Tarri::

<Tarri> ::blushes and ducks her head:: I'm just me... ::she smiles at him a little shyly:: You're good, to be willing to put up with all this...

* Tarri leads Sanriel into the temple, where things are quiet. She waves a greeting to the small handful of young priests on duty, and pulls Sanriel past the entryway, down a side hallway.

<Sanriel> ::little grin:: How could I not? It's for you. ::gives Tarri a quick little kiss on the cheek::

* Sanriel also gives a small wave, looking a little self-conscious as he hurries along behind Tarri.

<Tarri> ::echoes Sanriel's grin:: You won't be so happy about it when my patients bang on the door in the middle of the night and wake us up... or worse. ::she looks a little worried::

<Sanriel> We'll worry about things like that when they might come up.

<Sanriel> After all, you never know.. I like to look forward and expect the best. ::smiles::

<Tarri> ::smiles at him, still a little nervously:: You're so wonderful... ::she squeezes his hand a little::

* Tarri knocks gently on a door in the hallway. When no one answers, she carefully opens the door and peers in, then looks back at Sanriel with a smile. "We can sit in here for a while..." The room appears to be a small prayer cell, with a large window facing east. There is a mat on the floor, but no other furnishings.

<Sanriel> ::blushes a little and follows her in:: Cozy. ::grins and settles down, facing the window::

<Tarri> ::smiles apologetically as she sits on the mat:: These rooms are pretty much the only place you can go in the temple for privacy...

* Sanriel holds his arms open for Tarri.

* Tarri snuggles into Sanriel's arms with a contented sigh.

<Sanriel> I don't mind... the room is not why I'm here.

* Sanriel cuddles his future wife close, sighing happily.

<Tarri> ::giggles softly:: I guess not...

* Tarri looks up at her fiance and lifts a hand to stroke his face, his hair. "I love you so much..."

<Sanriel> mmmm... ::closes his eyes, enjoying the soft touch:: I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing that. ::soft smile:: Beloved Tarri...

<Tarri> ::smiles:: Good... I don't think I could get tired of saying it.

<Sanriel> Good! ::opens his eyes slowly and leans in to kiss Tarri lightly::

* Tarri returns Sanriel's kiss, sliding her arms around his neck.

* Sanriel slides one hand up through Tarri's hair, the others making small circles in the middle of her back.

* Tarri runs her hands down over Sanriel's shoulders and arms. "Mmm..." She breaks the kiss with a sigh. "I'll never get tired of that, either." She grins.

<Sanriel> ::shivers a little, grinning back:: No.. definitely not. Am I still getting better at it?

<Tarri> ::giggles:: Yep... Or maybe it's just that I keep falling a little more in love with you.

<Sanriel> ::voice softer:: I like the sound of that, too. ::grins a bit, eyes twinkling:: I think we need to fall a little more in love, again. ::kisses Tarri again::

<Tarri> Mmph... ::The kiss is not appreciably ruined by Tarri's brief giggle, and she slides her arms around him again, tracing small patterns on his back::

<Sanriel> ::finally breaks away after long moments, taking a few deep breaths:: Wow... ::small laugh, smiling:: I'm suddenly not caring so much if I'm infringing on your sleep time...

<Tarri> ::smiles and runs her fingers through Sanriel's hair:: Good. 'Cause I don't really want to go to sleep right now anyway...

<Sanriel> Sleep? What's that? ::sighs happily, leaning his head into Tarri's hand, snuggling closer to her::

<Tarri> ::grins and continues the caress, watching him happily::

<Sanriel> definitely... love you... ::opens his eyes again and smiles, head still tilted slightly::

<Tarri> ::smiles a little wider, and leans in to kiss him again::

* Sanriel sighs softly, holding Tarri tight and continuing the kiss...

<Tarri> [fade...]
